Holiday Memories!

Sorry it has taken us so long to write on our blog, we will try to be better about keeping our blog current this next year. We had so much fun this holiday season. Here are the highlights from the last month and half.

Merry Christmas! We had a wonderful Christmas. We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas day with Angela's family and spent Friday-Sunday after Christmas with Taylor's family.

We got 7 inches of snow at our house and we had so much fun playing in it. We took Andrew sledding down the street in our neighborhood on a the sled that was Angela's grandpas. He loved it.

Angela's brother and sister-in-law had their twins. Jackson on the top and Memphis on the botton were born on Dec. 6th. They are both healthy, peaceful babies.

We went to Zoolights at the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium. It was cold, but the lights were beautiful and we has a blast.

We were nervous about having a real Christmas tree this year, but we had to have one so we went to a u-cut place as a family. After we decorated the tree, Andrew didn't mess with it too much so it lasted all month.

These pictures are from Thanksgiving at Aunt Judy's house. Starting from the right, Andrew is hanging out with Grandpa. Then in the other picture Andrew is enjoying his first Thanksgiving feast. He especially liked the roll.

Andrew's Birthday

Andrew had a great birthday. We had a big party for him with all his family and friends. We filled a baby pool full of plastic balls and he was in baby heaven.

Pumpkin Patch

Andrew is on the move!

Andrew has been a lot more adventurous lately, ever since Taylor's dad taught him how to climb the stairs. We were visiting Taylor's parents and Tay and I left Andrew with grandpa for an hour. We came back and he has been a stair climber ever since. Andrew loves being mobile and exploring the house. He is pulling himself up, standing in his crib, and cruising around holding on to the furniture.

10 Months!

This month has been a big month for Andrew. He cut his 2 middle top teeth, so he now has four teeth. On Thursday he crawled forward on his hands and knees for the first time. He is becoming more and more mobile and more and more curious. Look out world here comes Andrew! He likes to explore everything. He also figured out how to tip the sippy cup up and drink out of it on his own. He is becoming such a big boy and we are loving every minute of it. Andrew is such a joy and it is so fun watching him learn new things everyday.

We got to go to Black Butte Oregon for Labor Day weekend with Taylor's parents. Andrew loved the pool. He loves the water and is quite the little swimmer.

We went to the zoo with grandma and Andrew loved the Walrus's because they would swim right up to the glass. He would wait for them to come and then get so excited each time.

Andrew wants to be just like his daddy when he grows up. Andrew was hanging out in daddy's office sitting in daddy's chair and in the second picture he is wearing Daddy's hat.

Ang Turned 27

Angela turned 27 on the 23rd and we celebrated her birthday by taking an overnight trip to Black Butte Ranch in Sisters, OR. We left Andrew overnight for the first time with Taylor's parents. He did great and had so much fun. Andrew is so blessed to have such amazing grandparents on both sides. And we were blessed to get away and spend some time together.

9 Months In and 9 Months Out

Andrew turned 9 months on the 22nd. We cannot believe it has been 9 months already. We know he's not even 1 yet but it seems like he is growing up so fast. He is loving life, smiling all the time and at everyone. He has two teeth, sits up and plays by himself, babbles all the time and is still working on learning to crawl. He acts like he wants to skip crawling and walk first, but he are hoping he crawls first. He is still scooting backwards but now he also turns and does circles. So he can pretty much get where he wants to go by going backwards.

Family Updates

This has been an exciting summer so far. We started off in the end of May with a trip to Hawaii with Taylor's family. We stayed a week in Kehei, Maui and had a wonderful time. It was great getting so much family time and it was Andrew's first vacation. Andrew enjoyed the beach and tried to eat the sand. One of our many highlights was snorkeling almost everyday and swimming with a sea turtle.

At the end of June, Angela decided to stop working and is choosing to stay home as a full-time mom. She is loving it. Her and Andrew have been very busy with Mom's group, Beginning Shrimp- Andrew's swimming class at the YMCA, and fun times at the park. Angela and Andrew also got to go on a trip to Minnesota with Angela's grandma to see her dear friend Katherine and Angela's family.

In July the Lord blessed us with providing Taylor with a new job. He is now a Educational Counselor at a local College and is loving every minute of it. We are so thankful for this new job. He is enjoying being on a college campus and helping students.

In July we also got to see some of Angela's family in Bellingham, WA for a mini family reunion.

Andrew is also changing so much and it is so fun seeing his personality develop. He is a joyful baby. It is so fun taking him out on errands because he has such a sincere, big smile that everyone falls in love with him. He loves being in the water, the zoo especially the sea otters, and the swing at the park. He is becoming more vocal and more active everyday, but can still be pretty mellow guy. He is working on learning to crawl. He scoots backwards until he gets stuck under the couch or somewhere else and then we move him forward and he does it again.
